1. Indian, Age-29, 4 years of work experience – two years with Unilever in corporate finance and two years with an Indian broking firm in equity research
2. GMAT – 770, Verbal -42, Quant – 51, Reasoning -8, Essay -6
3. Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from top Indian university (65% which should be ~3.5 on GPA)
4. MBA from an Indian institute (72% which should be 3.9-4 GPA). I want to do an MBA inspite of this degree and have a justification for it. Cleared CFA Level II.
5. Ventured into entrepreneurship for a year in online domain but returned to corporate world due to limited success, and later joined equity research
6. Significant extracurricular activities and participation in college level clubs. No NGO experience or any community service.

Ideally you will have at least one or two significant achievements or experiences that will bolster a weakness that may have kept you out of Kellogg last year. The most obvious examples are a big promotion at work, a higher GMAT score, or strong grades in some post-college coursework, but anything that demonstrates leadership, teamwork, maturity, or innovation — if one of these was a weakness in admissions officers’ eyes last year — can help your candidacy.)
